I just spent 57 minutes on the phone with Julia, the gal whom I met at Chemo . She’s a former ballerina and looks amazing for age 76, despite her cancer. Julia  has been fighting nonspecific Hodgkin’s lymphoma in her heart since February. She got the news today that she’s in remission! I’m so happy for her and hope I get a call like that someday. Julia is on her own, Something I just cannot imagine, she has gone from 128 pounds to 104. She lost sensation in both of her feet through necropathy and most of her hair.  Her first remission reward has been that the total numbness  in her left foot has disappeared! For the first time in a long time, she felt the cold floor under her foot. Can you imagine losing sensation in your feet when you’ve been a ballerina? Julia’s challenge now is to eat and drink and get strong again because she’s very anemic. Looking forward to  more good news from her while I wait for my own prognosis.

As for me, I spent most of the day in bed. My stomach feels like I did when I had a cesarean, actually three cesareans.. Very disinterested in eating or drinking which is very problematic. Maybe  tomorrow will be a turning point.

Baxter breaks the no dogs on the bed rule… Don’t tell Hans!
