I awoke passing gas. Not a subject to share under normal circumstances but as you well know, these are not normal circumstances. Under these circumstances, it is accepted, practically expected to discuss the basic need to and the healing effects of farting.

Farting has long been appreciated for its contributions to the arts, always bringing in a good laugh. Besides farting’s natural comedic propensities, farting is healthy and good for your body. Farting is the by-product of a digestive system at work, producing gas as it breaks down and processes food. Anyway, I’ve missed farting.

Four farts later, I am semi confident that I might be able get out of bed by myself and walk (such that it is) to the bathroom. Hans is still sleeping as I raise myself up, breathing through discomfort and strain. I stand up and find that I feel good enough to try to make it through the day. Through the many many movements it will take.

Radioactive Lemonade. So refreshing. Just lights me up!

I make it! To the Cancer Center, where I drink the lemonade as directed ( timed intervals) lay still in the all too familiar CT scanner…and obey a mechanical voice who directs me when to Breathe in……hold it….Breathe out.

I make it home. Back to my heating pads and pillows.

Tune in Friday for a medical update as Debra and Hans meet with Dr Berry on a special episode called “The Ascites Report…what the fuck is going on?”
