I awoke feeling much better but poor Krista has had an allergic reaction to the shellfish and her eyes are quite swollen. Caro is coughing (she said she has been for 2 weeks) so Jake, Krista and I walked to CVS to get some meds.  It is 70 degrees and rainy, but the rain hasn’t stopped us from appreciating how charming Old Town Alexandria is. 

We’ve all piled into the van around 11 AM and headed out to the farm. It’s about an hour drive.

My kids complimented me on having chosen a great best friend!
