I Had a CT scan scheduled today at Largo medical but they did not have the appointment confirmed due to oversight of getting the insurance approved. Instead, I went back to Guidewell, the emergency center that gave me the initial diagnosis.  I  have been here since 12:30 PM —almost 4 hours. Laying in the CT scan  ER, I find myself reflecting how unreal this scene is.  Just two weeks ago,I knew nothing about cancer of the colon and now it consumes me. Literally and figuratively.   The Facility here is very nice but it’s freezing cold. I can’t  wait to go stand in the hot sunshine. 

Point of interest:  I have named my tumors “Thing One and Thing Two” who are characters from The Cat in the Hat. These naughty characters are summed up on shmoop.com as “pure mayhem with no sense of boundaries, law, or consequences. They clean no messes and respect no authority.”  

We will see about that!
