Welcome to my life   More specifically, my life after April 22, 2022.  That day my world changed forever…that day I found out I had stage four colon cancer.

Truth be told, cancer is a heavy load to carry around and boy can it pack a punch! 

I’m fortunate that I don’t have to fight alone. My family and friends have stepped up with emotional support and an outpouring of love that I never would have imagined.

I try to journal daily. Besides relating the events of my life, I include lessons I have learned and the impact that facing a “shortened life-span” has had on me and my family and friends.

On some of my more painful days, I find myself drawn to writing songs. Not having a musical background, I will admit that I use songs that were already written, and just change the words 

Of course, you will see this for yourself very shortly.

Sometimes my writing makes me cry as I journal. Other times, I laugh. Journaling has been very helpful to me and sharing the experience will hopefully leave a legacy that will have given further meaning to my life.
