Wake up and get dressed, eat a little breakfast with my Tylenol and RSO ✔️

Get to blood draw appointment on time ✔️

Peak into the front office where Dr Berry is kibitzing with the front staff. Tap him on his shoulder ✔️

My decision to engage Dr Berry was instantaneous and my instinct served me well!

So back to the tap. The tap is important. Tap! Dr Berry turns around and meets my eyes. He leads me into the hall, “Tell me what’s been going on” his manner is inviting and comforting.

I won’t repeat the description I gave him of what my life had been like and why I stopped the chemo pills. You already know that part.

“What about the tap that drains ascites?” I ask. Dr Berry perks up. “We do those all the time. It’s outpatient”. His enthusiasm grows and he begins to put a plan in action. A plan to battle with a new beast. It begins with a tap!

1. CT scan to measure Ascites count. Monday 3/20

2. Drainage appt scheduled if indicated

3. Go back to iv chemo adding a component proven to help make cell walls more permeable.

That is the shot at us successfully getting the chemo delivered to the Ascites kingdom. I’m all for attacking Thing One and Two but they are mere gnomes now. The dragon awaits. Too much???

Ok, how about this. A lifeline was tossed my way today. A potential lifeline. Whatever. The important take away is that the hope that we all suck on just to breathe each day….that hope, my hope

My hope grew today. Tap tap

BTW. Just got off the phone with Moffitt and have a follow up exam with GI department for Tuesday the 21st. Took a few phone calls but glad to go

And now for adorable Abigail.

Oops. Didn’t mean to show this one. Actually I LOVE this one.
I will chew but no swallowing…yet
