Good morning. This morning, besides being greeted by the ever wagging Delilah, and the purrfect kittens, one of the sisters came out to greet me. She purred loudly as I petted her, and then proceeded to go to the door and look outside longingly. Apparently, the sisters have been outdoor cats, but had regular visits to a home and are quite friendly once their trust is established. The second sister peered at me behind the safety of the wicker basket and did not succumb to my charms. So, one down—one to go.

I just got home from the Bradenton farmers market which is held in downtown Bradenton. It’s a lovely little area and I am so happy that the market is thriving and well attended. Lots of shoppers bring their dogs and that’s probably my favorite part! Judith bought some focaccia bread. I came home with a couple of bagels and a candle that smells like dream sickles. Wix N Wax candles are made from a soy blend and handcrafted and poured locally into recycled glass. I love buying locally, don’t you?

Look who it is!

I just got off of a FaceTime call from snowy Idaho, where Jake is enjoying a snowboard weekend with his buddies. Note the cool gear! From the time he was a toddler, Jacob loved gear. Every activity needed specific outfits and gear. Hockey was his favorite —- lots and lots of gear. Now, snowboarding is providing him with a brand new opportunity to build a collection. Apparently, it is ideal to have different snowboards designed for different snow conditions. For instance, yesterday the snow was packed and so he used a specific snowboard for that condition. Last night it snowed, so today he is using a specific snowboard for fresh powder. I’m quite certain that there are many people who have one snowboard that suffices despite the snow conditions, But that is not the Jacob way.
