I have good news and bad news today.

Let’s get the bad over with shall we?

The bad news is that over the past four days, my digestive system has developed a predictable pattern. I wake up feeling OK but through the day as more food accumulates, my stomach begins to hurt and by the afternoon and into the evening, pain is the name of the game. For the first few days I thought it was diet related but I have been watching what I eat and I feel like it’s cancer related. I did get a call from the delivery company who will bring my new chemo pills on Tuesday and I’m hopeful that resuming the chemo will make a difference. I’ll be sure to talk to the doctor or to his nurse about this on Monday when I go for a blood test.

On the brighter side, I am thankful for my morning energy and this morning I put it to good use 🙂 Becky brought over her friend,Diane,to meet the kittens. Diane immediately fell in love with Mr. Jinks and his sister pixie cheetah.(original name was pixie but her markings remind me of a cheetah, so what the heck). Diane will rename her I’m sure, but she said she will keep Mr Jinks’ name because it fits him.😻

The kittens are still too small to be sterilized, but once they reach 2 pounds, they can go in for the operations and brother and sister will go home with Diane. She lives alone and is looking forward to having the company and love that the kittens will provide her.

The two cats that I am housing until Sunday are still keeping to themselves, hidden in the catio.I am not going to bother them and just let them chill out until Sunday.

Shortly after Becky and Diane left, some friends came over to meet Delilah. They lost their dog earlier in the year and are looking to adopt at some point. The meet and greet went well, with Delilah being her usual, loving self. Actually, she was quite goofy, and kept sticking her head in the cat tunnel and running around with the tunnel as if it was a fashion accessory

Ever the fashionista, Delilah demonstrates the proper way to wear a cat tunnel.

Unfortunately, Delilah’s surgery did not work, and she is scheduled for an amputation on Tuesday. Fortunately, she’ll be fine because she’s used to using only three legs anyway and she is one determined puppy. The hardest part of her recovery would be keeping her and Baxter from playing until she’s up to it. Those 2 spend hours and hours together.
