As you probably noticed, I did not journal yesterday. I felt rather puny all day and then was up four times during the night in extreme pain. I’ll have to talk to Dr. Barry to see if he change the chemo or if it’s just a cumulative effect with the last round. Makes me very grateful that I don’t have to go back for chemo until late January.
This morning, Hans drove me to Bishop where we dropped Charlie off. Despite his previous injuries, he is well healed and ready to be neutered and put into adoption. (Charlie not Hans) Max and Madeline came back home with me because they had not had any vaccines so I will have them till January 10th.
Since I anticipate feeling better every day, I also brought home a nursing mother cat with her three kittens. Fostering a mom with kittens is pretty easy and just really involves putting food down, cleaning the litter box and getting out of the way .

Of course, I could not resist bringing home a puppy. Delilah is between 14 and 16 weeks old and apparently has been hit by a car. The vet at the shelter anticipates taking her back leg off in a few weeks, but wants to give her time to heal and rest before then. Roxy and Baxter have given her a warm welcome, and she is resting comfortably. How I love puppy breath!

Recap of the day. Felt Better than yesterday hopefully better tomorrow. We were able to all go out and enjoy lunch together ..the telescope that I got for Hans for Christmas is turning into a big hit. Tonight we were able to see the rings of Saturn 🙂

Here is the report from Foster central ….
Mama cat has gone to the third floor of the catio so I introduced the kittens to food and they all seem to know what they were doing. Hopefully during the evening she’ll calm down and take care of them but either way I think they’ll be OK. Maddie and Max are glad to be home. Delilah spent most of the evening with us, but is in her kennel hopefully getting a good nights sleep. I’m in bed, listening to a wonderful audiobook called.” remarkably bright creatures.”
I need to be up early to transport some dogs for Underdog Rescue to their medical appointment at Humane Society in Manatee county.
I was sad to hear that my sister had a fall while walking her dog and broke bones in her hand. She is staying overnight at Manatee Memorial Hospital and will have surgery tomorrow.
