As you probably noticed, I did not journal yesterday. I felt rather puny all day and then was up four times during the night in extreme pain. I’ll have to talk to Dr. Barry to see if he change the chemo or if it’s just a cumulative effect with the last round. Makes me very grateful that I don’t have to go back for chemo until late January.

This morning, Hans drove me to Bishop where we dropped Charlie off. Despite his previous injuries, he is well healed and ready to be neutered and put into adoption. Max and Madeline came back home with me because they had not had any vaccines so I will have them till January 10th.

Since I anticipate feeling better every day, I also brought home a nursing mother cat with her three kittens. Fostering a mom with kittens is pretty easy and just really involves putting food down, cleaning the litter box and getting out of the way

Of course, I could not resist bringing home a puppy. Delilah is between 14 and 16 weeks old and apparently has been hit by a car. The vet at the shelter anticipates taking her back leg off in a few weeks, but wants to give her time to heal and rest before then. Roxy and Baxter have given her a warm welcome, and she is resting comfortably. How I love puppy breath!
