Merry Christmas everyone. I just got back from driving Zach and Caro to the airport after which I bought a bag of M&Ms and ate the entire sharing bag on the way home. Breakfast of champions!

The house is quiet. Lex and Hans just got back from church and are changing into something comfy. While they were gone, I cleaned up both of the catios and taped up some cardboard with duct tape on the door from the cat room to the storage area. Charlie, who was originally being watched to see if the shelter vet needed to amputate his leg is definitely healed. He was escaping from the cat room and I figured it out. Actually, he showed me how he did it, which involved jumping up on the door grabbing hold with his claws to the wire and up and over he went. Feels good to outsmart a cat :-). Note. Charlie continued to get out no matter what I did so I guess I can’t quite outsmart a cat.

Pain level is negligible this morning, but feeling of puniness and even shakiness pretty severe. I’ve taken some Claritin D for the cold that was inadvertently gifted to me and look forward to a restful day of recuperation.

I don’t know about the recuperation goal being realistic. I’ve been in and out of pain and weakness all day. Hans and Lex went to stone bowl for dinner… Not strange for me since I grew up in a Jewish family, and true to stereotype, we always ordered Chinese on Christmas.

I’ve taken some RSO, which seems to be helping with the pain level and taking some MiraLAX. Although one of the side effects of this chemo is purported to be diarrhea for some patients, I am apparently not in that percentage

In keeping with my obsession of writing songs about living and dying with cancer, I decided to try the new release on Netflix, Matilda, the musical. It is an amazing production, and Emma Thompson is hysterical as headmistress.
