I am feeling strong today and together with our good friends, Von and Everett we visited Santa at the shelter and bought a lot of gifts for my grand-dogs.

My mood was further elevated when I received the following text from one of my friends. We had just spoken about how important it was to mend relationships while we have time.
I wanted to let you know I’ve had some really great conversations with my son as of late. Your voice was in my head helping to guide me. How you’ve approached things through your illness is inspirational. Relationships are our end purpose in life and it’s never too soon, or late, to mend that which needs attention. Thank you friend.
I love getting feedback from my journal. Jean, a fellow writer who I greatly admire sent me this text.
Hey Deb. Although I’m quiet, know that I’ve read every word you have written. I’ve laughed with you and, yes, cried with you. I want you to know that through your recording of your life you are touching mine. Thank you. My admiration is sky high.

And then off to get our nails done. Von introduced me to the newest method which uses hot gel and is purported to be better on your nails and lasts longer than acrylic nails
“BIAB nails – the strengthening manicure that stays chip-free for weeks”
The nail tech warned me that it would burn a little since we put on a new set. She was right! Fortunately, it’s only for 5 seconds per nail. After what I’ve endured with chemo, it’s a breeze ….but I do laugh at what us women go through in the name of beauty 😉
