This morning my friend, Trish, who is a dog trainer, came over to meet Baxter and evaluate whether he will be a good service dog for me. 

We all agreed that he has the right temperament and should respond to the training well, so I have now ordered a service vest and patches for him. We have four training session set up for this month, and I will continue to report on his progress.
