It is officially now the calm before the storm as we await hurricane Ian. It is still uncertain of where he will land, but all the forecasts went to a very unsettling day on Wednesday and Thursday. we have brought the puppies and all the dog supplies up to the second level, which is between 17 and 19 feet above sea level so we should be safe from rising water. 

Our house is designed to withstand storms as it is completely made of block and highly rated hurricane windows and doors. I guess we’ll know how good the construction is pretty soon!

Meanwhile, the hidden storm that is my cancer is pushed to the background. I have been fortunate that the pain is super manageable with only extra strength Tylenol.
