In the spirit of making every second count, Hans and I went in search of an E bike for me.  One of the activities that I miss a lot is bike riding with him to Emerson Point Park which has great bike trails and is only about 2 miles away from our home.  We went to a store that only sells electric bikes and ended up with the beauty shown below.  My trike, Trixie, has seven speeds and can go 20 miles on an electric charge without peddling and further with a little sweat assistance. I’m eager to try it out, but it’s stormy  today so we’ll have to wait for the weekend.

What a wonderful feeling of freedom riding my trike on Saturday. I was able to keep up with Hans on his trusty bike (no name bestowed)  and even pass him at will.  The trike goes up to 20 mph but I rode between 12-14 mph…plenty fast. We went 7 miles and by mixing peddling and my wonderful throttle, I didn’t even break a sweat!    Bonus: On the way home, Hans was able to reach out his leg and attached himself to my power for a brief rest and recharge.
