I am feeling weak today and my body shakes without my consent. Looking in the mirror this morning, I had to laugh at the size of my ears which seem to be growing. In reality, my head is probably shrinking ha ha. Anyway, my poor dad lost considerable weight during his struggle with pancreatic cancer. At the end, he weighed about the same as I weigh now and his ears were very prominent. Guess what, my ears are becoming very prominent too! Nothing to be done about it except to laugh and think of my dad every time I look at my ears.

Dad and me, 2021
I don’t want to forget to tell you about my visit last night from Claire, Brenden and Abigail. We had a good time sharing the baby and quite a lot of fun writing a children’s book together. It’s tentatively called “Little Abigail’s Big Head.” (Title and book inspired by Abigail’s head size which is 98% plus) 🤣 Claire’s parents are book publishers and will be binding it into a children’s book once the book is completed. We’ve asked Jake, who is a graphic designer, to take our pictures of Abigail and blow her head up to different sizes, getting bigger and bigger as we reach the end of the book. Claire‘s father, Barry, has suggested that we print it on cardboard, which I think is delightful. Claire’s mother, Vicki, pretends to be very upset about how we are sure to give little Abigail a complex about her big head. I think she’s enjoying the fun and jest just as much as we are. I’ll be sure to post a link to the book once it’s done. In the meantime, I got a lovely note from Abigail since today is apparently grandparents day.

I really needed to read this self-described “inspiring and positive quote” today. I am feeling especially weepy for no real reason except the enormity of the last 4+ months. Anyway, I am glad to be reminded to count my blessings.
